      Dear Families,
Our class just finished their ancient China unit and will be finishing up a Cricket in Time Square soon. On Tuesday, Nov. 20th, 2nd grade will be conducting a Cricket in Time Square/Chinese New Year Celebration to commemorate all that they have learned.
They will make a paper lantern craft and a Chinese New Year calligraphy wall hanging.
For food, they will enjoy a simple stir fry noodle (signifies long life) Chinese rice cake (called Nian Gao and is a homonym for “higher year” implying prosperity year after year), and a little bit of green tea.

If you are concerned about any of the ingredients in the food provided, please contact Davy Yee at dyeeaz@gmail.com, class liaison for 2A, for additional information. If you have allergy concerns, please send an appropriate snack for your child and notify our teacher.
Please help us make this event possible by donating items needed and/or volunteering for this event.
